Bean Burgers

For 4-5 Burgers

  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1/2 C rolled oats
  • 1/2 C cooked brown rice
  • 2 tbsp chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 teasp spices (mixed seasonings)

Mash the beans by hand

Add oats, tomatoes, rice and seasoning

Place burgers in a preheated hot pan, cook 2-3 minutes each side

Mexican variation
Pinto beans, salsa instead of tomatoes,
add Mexican mixed spice powder, 1 tsp garlic and chili powder

Italian variation
Kidney beans and cannellini beans;
Italian spices, garlic and onion
If making into meatballs, put in the fridge for 15 minutes before.
