The Karl Marx tomb (Highgate Cemetery) photos are my tribute to: a) Karl Marx (duh), and b) The 1966 movie Morgan! in which the eponymous protagonist (played by David Warner who romances Vanessa Redgrave) comes from a family of Socialists who visit Marx's tomb every year on Marx's birthday. Morgan reverts to his gorilla persona (long story) and his mother (who always brings a picnic lunch) deathlessly exhorts in her charming Cockney, "Morgan, that's disrespectful." |
