Ban it!
My own opinion is that even though it's possible that there are people who are so twisted and worthless that they should be destroyed, it is impossible to trust any state (or other organization) with the power to make these decisions.
Another indisputable argument against the death penalty says: it comes down to one number. How many innocent people is it OK to execute? If that number is not zero, then it's OK to have a death penalty.
