In 2007, the world consumes 15-22 million barrels of oil per day and this rate is climbing. 8-10 of these come from Saudi Arabia. The remaining proven (or anyway claimed... likely exaggerated) worldwide reserves are 200-500 billion barrels (and declining). Arithmetic shows that we have 20-50 years of oil left. Probably closer to 20.
