e-mail users (these days, practically everybody!)
who plan to use Netscape as their e-mail tool.
Basic computer usage skills are suggested but not required.

Overview

At every large business enterprise (and at many small ones, too)
using e-mail is essential for survival.
One of today's premier software tools for reading and writing
e-mail is Netscape Communications Corporation's Communicator.
This course teaches skills and concepts necessary for its
effective usage.

Objectives
|
You will practice and learn to:
- Describe how e-mail works.
- Describe e-mail's components (clients and servers)
and infrastructure.
- Construct addresses in the Internet's format.
- Send, receive, forward, and reply to messages.
- Save messages in files and organize them in folders.
- Customize the appearance of your message menu.
- Manage your address book and create nicknames
and distribution lists
- Be notified automatically when new e-mail arrives.
- Automatically append a signature to your messages.
- Attach files (spreadsheets, images, documents, etc.)
to messages you send.
- Send messages to people inside and outside the company.

- A PC or workstation for each student
- Connection to the internet
